After a few hours on the water this afternoon, I came home and played on my computer for a bit, but the wind was picking up even more and the sun came out, so I just couldn't resist going out for another session. The wind had now swung around to WSW and was 20-24 knots. I was going to rig my 5m and my wave board which would have been OK for those conditions, but I had a feeling it would drop a little so rigged my 5.7m sail again and my Hifly Board this time.

I was maxed out to start with, but that meant I was easily able to blast out through the now bigger than before surf and fly upwind. I went way out on my first run, getting used to the board which I haven't sailed for a while and just enjoying the speed across the choppy waters. There were some big (head high) swells out the back, and some of them were breaking, leading to some big jumps when I hit them at full speed. I then carved a full speed arc on one of them and headed back in.

The wind did drop a little later on in the session, but I was still well powered up the whole time, and having a really good session.

Mike was already out kite-surfing when I got there, but snapped a line, so had a long walk back. Chris turned up for his second kite-surf session of the day, and helped Mike out before setting up his kite and lending Mike a kite so that he could get back out on the water.

I stayed out a while longer, blasting back and forth through the white water and getting a few good jumps, but eventually packed up when I decided I was getting just too tired.

As I was packing up, Derek and Simon were setting up their kites and about to go out for a kite-surf session too.

All in all an excelent session, better conditions and performance than this afternoons session, but as I was the only windsurfer out it still gets 4-stars.
